Daily Anchor Privacy Policy

Who we are

Daily Anchor is a Christian discipline and reflection app operated by Christ Daily. Privacy questions can be sent to christ.daily.officail@gmail.com.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we may collect your email address, display name, authentication identifier, and sign-in provider. When you use Daily Anchor, we store content you choose to save, such as journal entries, prayers, answered prayers, plans, weekly reflections, spiritual wellbeing check-ins, Sacred Time settings, reminder preferences, streaks, and loyalty progress.

For Premium features, we process subscription status, purchase history, store transaction identifiers, and entitlement information. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

When you redeem a creator campaign code or single-use gift code, we store the code or campaign identifier, redemption date, reward duration, Premium expiry date, and the minimum account identifier needed to prevent repeated redemption and attribute a successful campaign redemption. Creators receive campaign totals, not access to your private prayers, notes, journal entries, email address, or wellbeing information.

How we use information

We use information only to authenticate your account, sync your chosen content, provide reminders and app features, manage Premium access, calculate loyalty eligibility, prevent abuse, support users, and maintain service security.

Device permissions and App Guard

Daily Anchor asks for notification permission only when needed to deliver reminders you choose. Reminder schedules and notification preferences may be stored on your device and, where applicable, in your account.

On Android, the optional Automatic App Guard feature requires Usage Access and a visible foreground service while it is enabled. It checks the foreground app against the apps you selected so it can show a Scripture-led reminder. Daily Anchor does not use this permission to read messages, passwords, page content, browsing content, or what you type. App Guard can be turned off at any time and Usage Access can be revoked in Android settings.

Service providers

Daily Anchor uses Google Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, and backend functions; Google Sign-In for optional authentication; Google Play for Android purchases; and RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management. These providers process information on our behalf according to their terms and privacy practices.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal information, journal entries, prayers, plans, or wellbeing check-ins. We do not use this private content for advertising. Creator partners may be shown aggregated campaign redemption totals, but not the private identity or faith content of individual users. Information is otherwise disclosed to service providers only as needed to operate the app, or when required by law.

Security

Data sent between the app and our service providers is encrypted in transit. Access to cloud data is restricted to the signed-in account and authorized backend services. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Your app account data is retained while your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account in Daily Anchor under My Account > Delete account. You can also delete it online at Daily Anchor account deletion.

Deletion removes your Daily Anchor authentication account, profile, private cloud app document, and private local app data. Store and payment providers may retain transaction records where required for accounting, security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Deleting your account does not cancel an active store subscription; cancel it through Google Play or the Apple App Store first.

Your choices

You can edit reminder preferences, disable notifications in device settings, restore purchases, sign out, or delete your account. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your information.

Children

Daily Anchor is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

Faith and wellbeing notice

Daily Anchor does not replace the Bible, prayer, a local church, pastoral care, or professional medical or mental-health support. Wellbeing check-ins are private reflection tools and are not medical diagnosis or treatment.

Changes

We may update this policy as Daily Anchor changes. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect.
